FOR ARTISTS
Do you need a website? For artists, your website is one of your best marketing/advertising tools. Trying to get gallery representation? Instead of mailing slides and promotional materials to galleries, refer them to your website via e-mail. Having a show? Won an award? Announce it on your home page. E-mail people who already have purchased your work and invite them to visit your website to see your "newest" creations.
Shown below are "package" prices for a website with relatively few, but distinctly different pages. If you need a site with many similar pages, please call me. After talking with you, and determining what you need for your web presence, I can then give you a more accurate cost estimate. Although web pages can be any length, the longer the page is the more time it takes to load, and viewers may not wait for a lengthy page-load. Therefore, a "page" as defined here consists of approximately three (3) screens of information/graphics.
If you are on a tight budget, and are a Costco member, contact them about their ValueWeb program. You can get a basic 5-page design for a flat $275. If you need more features like a shopping cart and credit-card processing that costs more. | Placement on Search Engines | Hand-submitted to major search engines. Careful attention is given to page titling, meta description and meta keywords for each page, and links to related sites, all of which help with search engine ranking, but does not guarantee top placement. No one can guarantee you top placement on a search engine. Your best guarantee that people will find your website is for you to provide them with your URL (website address). If you must have your site appear on the first page of search results, many search engines now offer PAID placement (down the right or left side or in the first positions on the page. The amount charged varies depending on the company, and whether you pay on a "highest bid" or "per click" basis for each search term/word you designate. | ||

Billed at $30/hour, in quarter-hour increments, with a quarter-hour minimum. Option 2: $360 per year; payable quarterly on an annual contract basis ($90/quarter). I suggest option 2 if you anticipate frequent changes, especially of images and graphics. Additional hours per month are billed at $30/hour, in quarter-hour increments. |

The Fine Print A deposit of one-third of the total website design fee cost is required before I begin work on your site. Once domain name registration and hosting has been set up, and work has begun on your site design, this one-third deposit is NOT REFUNDABLE. |
Domain name registration (i.e. www.yourcompanyname.com), internet service provider (ISP) charges, domain name transfers and web hosting charges (server space where your domain name "resides") are not included. You pay for these services separately, or some companies provide bundled deals (hosting and domain name registration). Bundled domain name/website hosting can be as inexpensive as $73 per year. Non-bundled domain name registration can cost as much as $35 per year, with discounts available if you pay for multiple years in advance. If I set up your site, I can take care of registering your domain name for you, and setting it up with a webhosting service and will include those charges in your bill. I do not mark up these third-party charges - they are billed as charged by the company providing the service. If you have other questions, call 520-743-7841 or email me. Most of you already have a contact for internet access service (through AOL, Cox, Comcast, Earthlink, etc.) Many of these companies include a personal website space as part of their contract. You do not get your own domain name with these personal websites. Your website address will include the access company's name. Example: http://home.comcast.net/~your_user_name/ The user name must usually be the same as your account name. The amount of space you have available is also limited on these websites, but if you don't plan on a large site, and don't care if you have your own domain name (example: www.FountainStudio.com), you may wish to take advantage of this feature. Some companies have an online "website builder" where you can create your own site with limited choices for personalizing it; If you want your site to be customized to your specifications, I can design it the way you want it to look and in some cases, upload it to your internet access company personal website. I'll be happy to discuss this option with you. |

* Additional custom graphics designed at $50/hr. Custom graphics are defined as any original created artwork. Ready-made clipart or customer-supplied artwork/graphics are not considered to be custom graphics. All Photos/Graphics/Illustrations are customer supplied, either as hard-copy or digitally. Additional stock photos and illustrations are available from a variety of vendors. Client will pay the cost for these images if used (generally $60-150 per photo image). Placement of additional photos/illustrations/graphics beyond those included in package prices run $10 for each image placed except on custom sites.
** E-mail links provided on each page; additional links (over above numbers) to sites/pages are $2 each
