Basic
scanning includes an auto color/contrast adjustment and
auto sharpening. It may include an automatic dust and scratch
removal where appropriate*. Scans will be the same size as the
original except for slides, which will be scanned to make a print
approximately 4"x6". Basic scanning does not include
any digital restoration work or cleanup.

$1.00 per scan for up to 8 x 10 originals scanned at 280 dpi.

• $0.45 per slide for 35mm standard format slides
scanned at 1200 dpi**. Call or e-mail for quote on quantity discounts.
• $2.50 per slide for square, over or undersized slides,
or slides scanned at 4800 dpi (which will allow you to print them
larger than 4"x6")
Scanned images can be e-mailed or written to a CD or DVD and mailed.

Color, contrast and sharpening adjustments made individually
for each photo/slide prior to scanning, or extensive digital cleaning
up, retouching, image manipulation and/or custom cropping of scanned
work is not included in basic scanning, and costs $30/hr, charged
in quarter-hour increments. Check the photo
restorations pages for examples of what individually applied
corrections can do for old photos. If you have important photos
that you want preserved digitally or that you want to use to make
good prints, individual treatment will give you a better result
than the basic scan auto corrections. Once I see your photo(s)
I can give you a quote for the restoration.

for a high-quality digital restoration where these flaws are
