Classes at The Drawing Studio (TDS) have a 7-student minimum. If the minimum
number of students aren't registered a week before the class is due to start,
the class will be cancelled.

January 5-26, 2013 Four Saturday afternoons from 1-4 PM |
We will spend the first session creating gessoed papers (textured/colored, drawn into, and papers with embedded items) and the remaining three sessions painting with watercolor on those gessoed papers. Watercolor behaves differently on a gessoed surface than it does on watercolor paper. This class is for any level painter, but some watercolor experience is helpful. |

February 2 - March 9, 2013 Four Saturday afternoons from 1-4 PM $175 or $150 for TDS Associate Members |
Six sessions of 3 hours each. Each student will choose their own "theme" and work on a series of five to six paintings within that theme. We'll focus on composition, color and content. |

March 21 - April 11 Four Thursday afternoons from 1-4 PM $135 or $115 for TDS Associate Members |
Four sessions of 3 hours each. We will meet at a different Tucson area location each week. Maps will be provided. Students must be able to walk with their painting gear at least 1/4 mile (500 pedometer steps is equal to 1/4 mile). Some locations have hilly and/or uneven paths and some may require paying an additional entry fee. |

INDIVIDUAL/SMALL GROUP TUTORING
I offer tutoring in both watercolor and PhotoShop for individuals or small groups (2-3 people) in my home studio. This instruction is tailored to the student's needs/wants, and includes demonstrations, hands-on exercises and printed materials including additional practice exercises for the student to work on at their own pace. For those with absolutely no watercolor experience, I provide all the needed materials for the first two sessions. Cost: $40 per two hours (minimum session length). Sessions can be two to four hours in length. There is a 25% discount in the hourly rate for two to three people who have similar instructional goals. |

I am available to teach watercolor workshops of three to five days in length. Workshops are tailored to the needs/desires of your group, and can be structured for any level of painters. Some focused workshops I have taught include: Abstraction by Design, Symbolism in Still Life, Putting The Personal in Painting, Line and Wash, and Desert Landscape Painting. |
